Re: In need of a cutter!

I have a Xikar that I recieved as a gift from a BOTL that has been in use for almost three years now. I ended up sending it back when the spring broke and got a new one very quickly. You cannot complain about that.

That said, the next cutter I am going to buy will be a Palio just cause its a brother that sells them. You cannot go wrong with cigarmony.com

My vote is for a Palio. I love mine and had zero problems or issues with it. It's a sound investment.

Re: In need of a cutter!

Anyone recommend a place with good prices on Palios, that also have them in stock ( besides camp pattern)?

Re: In need of a cutter!

I got a good deal on a Palio (Burl) from Southside Cigar. It's the best I have found so far. Diddo on the Wolf "V" cut, and Im happy with myl RP 3 Way Stainless Steel Punch. Wanting to order a 3 in one Table Top Altadis next time around.

Re: In need of a cutter!

I've probably only cut about ~30 cigars, but my unqualified opinion is that the Xikar MTX is great. It's not the best for a single cut if you don't like to fuss, but it lets you trim away what you want and really control what you take off the cap and can pretty much cut anything out there.

A cheap punch cutter is also nice to have on hand, esp. to try on the flat part of a chisel.

I have both the Xihar 2 & a Palio. I use the Xihar more because I the grip but I don't think you can go wrong with either.
