Humidor Won Redux
So as you know, I seem to always have a problem with ci, cbid, cigar.com etc.
The last time they sent me something by u.s mail it took 7 weeks to travel 90 miles or so. My wife hadnt received the humidor she had won on c.i. over three weeks ago. At the suggestion from some members,she called them on the phone. Wouldnt you know it, they just shipped it out, and sent it again by fourth class mail(parcell post). That is no way to do business. They wait 3 weeks to mail out a goodwill gift that was won, then they insult by mailing out this way. I guess I can expect a tax form from them to declare my winnings, so they can deduct from their taxes. (I know its not enough money). Just a further indication as far as I am concerned about the classlessness of c.i. If this is their attitude and it will eventually generate to others because of what I perceive as arrogance, in this economy, and anti smoking climate in the country and tax structures, they could have a potential huge downfall. Its not like they have a varied type of items they sell. Cigars is 99 percent of their business. And it starts with not returning customers emails. They did not respond to my wifes gentle email, asking the status of the humidor. I almost considered buying one outright, and then telling the wife it arrived. Screw them. Much regards Jerry |
