? on shelf dividers
This pertains to the cedar dividers that divide the bottom of the humi, or divide the shelfs.
The question is, I see in photos the divider placed both ways, as the curved cutout that they have are on the top facing up, and also facing down. I have received humidors, with the dividers in both ways, and have seen ads for humidors with those dividers topside and bottomside with the cutout. I assumed the cutout, was to allow the air to circulate. Can someone explain the proper use for if any , and the correct position if any to place them in the humidor. Thanks Jerry |

Re: ? on shelf dividers
I would say.......... how ever you deem necessary. Either way, it should create some air flow.... But if your sticks do block the curved part, then that tiny bit would not get the greatest air flow. They would still get air just not flow.
Im no expert......... but i stayed at a Holiday Inn Express once....

Re: ? on shelf dividers
Jerry, I would think that if humitiy rises, placeing the curved part up would help it flow a little better. Shannon

Re: ? on shelf dividers
In general, a cutout in anything is for finger access. The curve could also be there for aesthetics or to allow more efficient use of the wood.
