My First Humidor

Just got my first humidor today. I cant post links or pics yet, but it looks similar to the glasstop milano on cheaphumidors.

I am going to start seasoning it today. I think I am just going to go with the seasoning packet method.

Then I just have to work on getting some sticks in there!

Rob, congrats on the new humi! Take your time and make sure it is steady and completely ready for your new sticks before you put them in...

Re: My First Humidor

I smoked both the sticks I bought so I am in no hurry. Like you said, just waiting for it to get steady. I am just buying them 1 or 2 at a time for now. Trying to figure out what I like.

Re: My First Humidor

The packs are a good way to go. They work great and there's no guess work involved. The only problem is that it takes 14 days. Although I took mine out on day 13, I wouldn't do it any sooner. Just make sure you stay patient, as doing it right will save you money in the long run.

Enjoy!

The only thing different is the analog hygrometer, mine is a tad bigger. I also bought a Hygroset II to go with it. I am calibrating it now.

Re: My First Humidor

Congrats on the new set up! I've always been a big fan of glass top humidors, though I don't have one. Post pics soon!
