They want almost 300 dollars for delivery, and it sounds like they are just fronting it for another dealer.
In other words, they take the order and have it sent out. I am tired of these take the order and drop and runs.

My concern is how the fit is on these drawers, and will it be hard to maintain the rh, if there is seepage of air.

Much regards Jerry

Re: I think I may have found a humidor

I have been eyeballing this same humidor for awhile now. I really like the look/size of it and drawers are great if you order lots of bundles/5er's to save money. My biggest desktop humidor I currently own is a 3 drawer unit and altho I love the convenience of the drawers for finding and organizing cigars it does lose humidity quickly. I have 6oz of heartfelt 65% beads in it (tubes in each drawer) and have to add water once a week to keep the RH steady. Maybe this is normal but seems like they should go longer before refill. Just a note that this unit will require more babysitting then a standard cabinet. If you can live with that I say go for it! Awesome looking humi

The prices on that site are amazing.

Only 229 for the Lauderdale!

I just got a Lauderdale yesterday and it's not bad, a little small but a decent first cabinet style to start with.

Re: I think I may have found a humidor

I love the design on this humidor. I'm especially fond on drawers. However, my guess is for the price the seal on the drawers may not be perfect. Need to make sure there is a way to get airflow through the whole thing. My experience has been that the lower cabinet is separate from the drawers. That means you are going to have to find a way to provide adequate humidity and air flow to the drawers to maintain good humidity levels especially in the winter. That would be a good question to ask the vendor.

You may want to negotiate the price on the shipping. Around $200 would be a much fairer price.
