Storing cigar question in the humidor

Can somebody explain to me how cigars that are already in a single cellophane wrapper stay fresh when they are stored in baggies or those 5 pack cellophane wrappers in a humidor.

    Thanks,
    DJ

Usually the cellophane wrappers are not air tight. The cellophane is some what permeable. Over time the humidor RH will "seep" it's way into the cellophane.

As mentioned, it will get in there just as it gets into sealed cigar boxes. There is no need to keep them in the 5-pack wrapper unless you are an organization freak or do not plan to smoke them in the next year. However, they will acclimate faster without the plastic wrap if you want to smoke them in say the next 4-6 weeks.
