I like the cigar oassis it does all the work for you. It will season the humi in 12 hours and good to go. I ahve never tried the beads. but the cigar oassis is working and has been working well for me in my end table humi. I have the Antiem it is available from them as well.

Great congrats man, now you won't give the "I don't have space" excuse any more...well..at least for a while. Same procedure Erick. Wipe down walls, set credos and soaked sponge overnight, if you want to you can put two shot glasses at the bottom compartment. Check RH (with calibrated hygro). My humi spent three days like this and it stabilized just fine. Good luck!

I concur with Nely, definalty the same procedure!

I have the Vicksburg and it is great! Plenty of room, so far. I actually let it season for about a week before I backed off and it was another week when it stabilized at 66-68%. I really took time on it. Maybe too much, but as the LLG's say, "patience".

Now for viper's beads!

Dave (Viper139) recommended a large bowl of distilled water heated to boiling temp and place it inside the humidor. repeat for 3-4 days. ill go with this method as im going to be using his beads so the 'stock' humidifiers are not needed any longer!

That is exactly what I did. That's way it took soooo long. But worth it! Good luck!

Re: 300ct. Humidor. How to Stabilize?

well check and re-boiled the water. my humi is reading 79% RH around 4pm exactly 24 hours after starting the stabilizing of humidification. i just checked it now again after round two of boiled water and im up to 90%. one more go around tommorow and the beads go in for 2 days!
