This is a discussion on INSTALLING thermoelectric cooling??? within the Cigar Accessory Questions forums, part of the Cigar Accessory Discussion category; Anybody done it? Do you need the fans like the wine fridges have or can you just use the plates?...

Yes - I have done it. You MUST HAVE the fan on the hot side. Having a fan on the cold side is optional but does help in circulation cooling. Be advised that you may need a catch can of some sort to collect condensation on the cold side. Ron |

They will work - but they are missing a heat sink as shown. Also note that Peltiers are very fragile - so a lot of care needs to be taken when removing and attaching heat sinks. Hopefully the one he took apart gets put back together correctly because if the heat sink paste is not put on correctly - hot spots will develop and a burn out will occur. Ron |
