Remote Monitoring

I have an Oregon Scientific weather station that accepts additional temperature & humidity gauges. Could I use one of these gauges in my humidor? It is a little larger than some things, and it does contain two AAA batteries.

I thought it would be interesting to be able to look up my humidor data through the weather device.

Thanks!

Sweet. I'm assuming the humidity portion of the sensor is somewhat accurate.

Re: Remote Monitoring

I think a lot of people use the Remote Oregon Scientific (i do) ... good stuff, you can monitor more than one humidor, or different areas within a cooler or cabinet. As far as the accuracy, you can salt test the sensors just like you would any other Hygrometer.

Re: Remote Monitoring

I use three of these. Very accurate, too.

I agree, I salt tested mine and it was right on... (even though it is a backup)

Re: Remote Monitoring

I use 3 Radio Shack ones in 3 of my humidors I check them them from the base display also with the RS I can see the RH and temp range for a given period, I average them then clear the memory. Salt test yours becuse they are not very acurate.

Definatly salt test, but I have 3 of them, too, and they're all within 1%. (74-74-75, IIRC)
