Beads vs Humidification Device

I ordered some 65% beads today and I plan on using them, but I have a bit of a dilemma. My humidor is currently at 65% stable with a humidification device that is using a 50/50 solution. Should I stay with it and save the beads for a rainy day so to speak or still switch to the beads. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Personally I would read this thread and then set the beads up, JMHO.

To bead, or not to bead: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler with the cigar to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous humidity,
Or to take arms against the credo now.

I think Shakespear said that..........or mayby Bob Dylan

I would leave humi alone until temp varies. You are at perfect optimum humidity. Than use the beads, those are a sure thing for stablized humidity.

I'll stay out of this discussion....I'm probably a little biased.

Humis up to 250 or so Beads = good

Cabs - Active humidification + beads = better

Just my prejudiced opinion. I open the big cab too much and the Cigar Oasis II recovers within 10-15 min. With just beads it takes much longer and causes you to recharge the beads frequently. The beads seem to help the stratification issue within the humi. I take the bags from the top and exchange them with the ones in the bottom every couple of weeks.

Coolidors, which are pretty air tight, seem the perfect environment for beads.
