analog hygrometer and proper rh

This is driving me crazy
I just can't figure out this new humidor and hygrometer. I've calibrated it over and over and it reads about 92%. I took all humidification out and let the cigars just sit in the box. The reading now sits on about 75% but with the +13-15 that should be about 61%, which I think is too low. The cigar I smoked to check seemed really dry too so I put everything back in plus an extra Credo. The last 2 I've smoked don't burn evenly and the ash is kind of greeny looking but it still reads about 75%.
Take everything out again? Get a new analog hygrometer(that's what I want to stay with for Old School effect)? Anyone recommend a good analog hygrometer and place to order it from?
How can I tell from smoking one whether it's right(properly humidified) or not? By the way, I live in the Deep South and it's always humid here already(south Georgia).

Thanks,
JDawg

Analog hygrometer and proper rh; two mutually exclusive entites.

Get a digital. Calibrate it.

If your cigar swells and splits, humidity's too high; If it burns hot and fast like a prom date, it's too dry.

Go digital. You wont have these problems and you can start enjoying your cigars.

The way they are meant to.

Most analogs are crappy. I have one that actually works how it supposed to but the other one I own sucks...I can't get it to read more than 60% if I put it in the shower with me. So I bought a digital for that humi. And I love it. My suggestion: Get a digital. Get rid of the headaches of analog.

Go digital. The analogs I have aren't very accurate even after I calibrated them.
