Cheapest Humidor Ever!

Last weekend I constructed the cheapest hmuidor ever. The Gladwareador... Something like that, you can pick up a 2 pack of the ones that can hold about 20-25 cigars for about 4$. Then I went to the craft section in Wally world and got some of that green oasis stuff 3 BIG blocks for 1.25%. They hold humidity great and then all you gota do is throw in some spanish ceadar. I spent a good amount of change at cigar bid and needed a cheap place to store my smokes.

Agreed. I have used them to much success. I placed a small cedar plank on the bottom with a humi-tube and works like a charm!

Got you beat on the cheapest humidor, actually coolidor.

Cooler- brand new and free. Grabbed it from a buddy who was going to toss it.

Oasis- $0.75 for a big block at Wally World

4 SC Cigar boxes and blocks- free from the local cigar shop.

PG- $5.00 for a quart.

Total- $5.75...well not really cheaper but pretty damn close.

I bought a 300 count humidor a month in a half ago and its almost full. Figured Id get this set up now since Cigarbid has me going nuts.

Its hardly worth looking at...it aint pretty but its practical. Just a clean cooler, a plastic container with green oaisis whetted with 50/50 and cedar cigar boxes...thats it. Oh yeah and a hygrometer.

Its so pretty I got it hiding in a corner of my basement. Now I just gotta fill this baby up

i'm using a tupperware container at the moment too
spent quite a while finding a fairly big one - it's probably about 7x10, 12 inches deep.

so far I've been using it for maybe 2 months and haven't added a humidifier yet. but the humidity is still about 65%

i guess it's so increidbly air tight that all i have to do is add a few new cigars once in a while

The Igloo brand Ice Cube coolers that sell at Wal Mart for $13 and hold 48 quarts are about as cheap as you can get IMO. The gladware containers work, but figure out the price per quart and I bet its higher than 27 cents.

Still a good find, and I have used gladware as both overflow containers and bomb housings.

Man all I got is a Tupperdore (I just call it a humi to make me feel better), don't have a real humi yet as I waiting to get one shipped from CH or somewhere similar once I've saved enough.

But I reakon I take the cake for the cheapest.
1x Tupperware Celery container. My wife owned it before we met, then I hijacked it for a humi. $Free

1x block foam from Spotlight (yeah I know you don't know Spotlight, like I don't know Wal Mart ) $2

1x PG from local chemist $2.20

Total $4.20
And it hasn't missed a beat
