How much will a wine cooler hold?

I am been swinging back and forth on deciding if I should hook up a peltier cooler to a 150 quart cooler or if I should buy a wine cooler or a fridge.

How much will a 28 bottle wine cooler hold? The best deal I could find was a 28 bottle wine cooler at home depot for 199 and I was wondering how much you think it will hold?

Also how much do you think a 4.3 cu ft fridge might hold?

My worry now is space. I know a 150 quart cooler will hold alot of cigars I just dont know how many cigars one of these fridges or coolers will hold.

i have a Haier 30 bottle wine chiller that holds well over 20+ boxes. it's about 5 cubic ft.

I'm sure the Magic Chef I have can hold 20+ also. I have about 7 or 8 in there now and it looks empty...

I have a Avanti that holds 24 bottles and i have one shelf and 22 boxes stacked, without that shelf and some good tetris i could probaly pull off 26 boxes tight.

I think the question to ask is what you WANT. It sounds like you want a wine chiller, and they can be had at good prices if you're patient. If that is what you want, maybe you could just get a reasonable size cooler for $15 or so and some humi beads for now... this will work fine, and I doubt you'll have problems with overtemp in MN until at least late july. Then if you find a fridge/chiller, you transferthe new beads and all you're out is the $15 for the cooler.

And anyway - I hear you can keep beer and stuff in those coolers too!

Yup allready have a cooler. I am just looking for a temp controlled solution. At what temp should I start panicking? I am sitting at 70 degrees right now and I heard anything above that really isnt safe.

And the problem is that I don't want to buy a wine chiller to later find out that I need more room. Because if you think about it 20-25 boxes is really only 500-600 sticks which really isnt all that much.

I like the way you think! My chiller is currently home to about 15-20 boxes, and there's still a good bit of room. I also have two backup coolers and a couple of desktop humis. When the fridge fills up, I'll just put some stuff into coolers. The 70 degree rule of thumb is a good one, but it isn't the only solution to guarding against beetles - check out poker's "do you freeze your cigars" thread for other possible ways of keeping things safe.

Of course you could go the Mo route, and just convert an entire room (poke around for pics of Mo's closet-a-dor - it really is a sight to behold!)
