Vizcaya?

I found this on Tampahumidor and I really like the design and price. Anybody have any opinions or experiences with this certain humi?

75-100 ct humi with cedar tray and 2 dividers

Any other suggestions on a similar size, look and/or price?

Re: Vizcaya?

My only suggestion, from my short time here, is go bigger....you will outgrow this humi in a month.

eBay has some reputable sellers selling 300 CT humis for not much more than this...I can help you research if you need help, but just type in humidor and "250", "300", etc...there's some nice stuff, I bought a 300 CT and a 1000 CT from eBay and they both work great with beads and a digital hygrometer.

Re: Vizcaya?

I've never heard anything negative about Tampahumidors.

1+ on the size, tho'. 75ct'll fill up by August, especially if you visit satanbid. It'd make a nice "Special Cigar" humi, but $55 will set up a coolerdor with everything you need and then some.

Re: Vizcaya?

I think the humi is nice and the price is right. I have to agree with icehog and Scott that it just makes sense to think longer term. If you are looking for a daily humidor, smaller is ok, but I and several other botl's have purchased one of THESE from eBay for about the same price, and while not the top of the line, it is rock solid in maintaining humidity, looks good, and is FULL.

I now have 2 300 ct humis, 1 50 ct daily smoke humi a 60 qt. coolidor and I ran out of room. I have overflow in an older cooler I had. I haven't decided on a course of action for my long term storage issues.

That is the 300 count humi I have, and I am totally happy with everything about it.

Re: Vizcaya?

If you want to get serious with cigars, eventually you will need more and more space. There are some nice cabinet humidors at www.tampahumidor.com and also here: http://www.cheaphumidors.com/Merchan...ABINETHUMIDORS

Re: Vizcaya?

Nothing new to say except that all these guys are right on. I'm getting from Satanbid a 300 stick'r for (yes its true) 91 bucks. Shipping is another 25 but still 116 for a 300 ct humi? It's re god damn diculos as J. Wayne said. I can't attest to the quality as it has yet to be shipped. But I can say that it goes for 250 on CI which is already rock bottom usually. I am sure it is marvolous though. Elswhere on the net its up to 400 clams. Beware not all deals on CB are a bargain, sometimes they are at retail or even above.

Ebay has some good deals to but check there feedback first.

For the humidity thing I've heard the beads from Viper are right on with service being an A++ and am ordering some myself.

And go bigger for a humi is my suggestion. 75 stick capacity just doesn't seem to really equate to 75 for some reason. Besides once you make the commitment you often want bigger. You could use the Humi you picked and do the coolerdor thing for storage there not as cool as a piece of furniture
but they do work.
Just my 2 cents worth.
