Battery Op. Active Humi Device.

Do either the Cigar Oasis or Hydra offer a battery option? The setup I will have will be dificult to run a cord, even the ribbon cable.

i think I saw the Hydra can run on batteries. Any one here ever use one, and if so how well/how reliable are they? Thanks.

The Cigar Oasis XL runs on batteries and comes with them, don't know about the other sizes.

Re: Battery Op. Active Humi Device.

I got a battery pack for my Oasis XL about a week ago. It seems to be working well so far.

Re: Battery Op. Active Humi Device.

Oasis comes with the battery pack option as standard package. Hydra does not come with it as standard..don't even know if it is even an option.

I have 2 Oasis, one on house power, one on battery pack. The battery pack doesn't seem to keep the humidity level very accurate.

I also have 1 Hydra. If you can do without the batteries, this is the one you want. It is so much better than the Oasis.

I concur, the Hydra is superior to the XL. I have one of each. They both come with a flat ribbon cable for getting the power into the humidor. its about as thick as a sheet of construction paper.

Re: Battery Op. Active Humi Device.

I'm curious as to why the Hydras are better than the Oasis's? Thanks for the input.

Larger water tank for one, Hold set RH more accurately, You can plug extra fans in for circulation in a cabinet humidor, and the unit can be calibrated by the end user.
