"Resetting" torch lighter valve?

I have a new Colibri Firebird. The first few times I filled it, I didn't know about "bleeding" it or turning the valve all the way down. Now when I set the valve to the highest setting the flame isn't very high, and when I turn it any lower no gas come out at all.

I've read that if you don't turn the valve all the way down, the lighter will "remember" the current setting as the lowest. If that's the case, is there any way to reset that?

I don't think your lighter will remember anything. Next time u fill, just turn it down all the way, bleed all of the air out and fill. May have to adjust a couple times after filling to get the flame u like.

This is probably a stupid question but what exactly does bleeding the air out mean? just running it until all the butane's ran out?

Open the valve in the bottom by pressing it with a small screwdriver or allen wrench until the hissing stops.

And then shake the lighter and repeat.
