Boveda One-Step Calibration bags

I know I started a new thread, but I search and could not really find an answer to my question... which is:

Can I put more than on (3 to be exact) hygrometers in the bag at once? I know the bag is good for three months and I could do them all separate BUT it would save me time if I could put them in at the same time.

Does anyone have any experience with this or know? I don't know why I ask, I am sure someone does!!

Thanks in advance

Should not be an issue. Humidity inside the bag won't change with the addition of a hygrometer.

I calibrated two hygros (digital) at one time with one bag ... no prob.

I agree, Craig! I've put 4 in at once without any problem. Remember that you can re-use the calibration kit many times up to 3 months or until it starts to get hard, according to Boveda.

Re: Boveda One-Step Calibration bags

I wonder how long they last unopened... I bought 3 hygrometers and I got a bag with each one, and now I am only using one.

Any ideas?

If you don't open the calibration pak, they will last indefinitely. The are air tight until opened.

If I remember correctly the Cal Kit also has a "use by this date after opening" statement

Re: Boveda One-Step Calibration bags

Man, I need to do this. I have 3 that are so out of whack, I can't tell what is right anymore! I pretend I don't care, but we all know that isn't true. Btw, what is with the Xikar that has no calibration adjustment? Is it assumed to be within 2% and that's that?

Calibrate, using the salt test or a calibration pack to find out how much each is off. Do a little searching, there are a ton of threads about how to do this.

While you are calibrating go to the New Gorilla Forum and introduce yourself, then read the stickies : http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=23

dont belive that analog unless you have cal./salt test it I know you wanna belive it because it reads 72... but your 72 reading could actually be 82, 92 62 52 etc... like the other members here had said do a cal./salt test on your hygrometer.. good luck.. and welcome to the jungle...
