His set and forget system is 100%. Always at 65/65.

My friend has one, I store boxes in it and is quite nice. The essential things are well done; beautiful seasoned wood inside, good worksmanship, top humidifying unit, good hinges, and closes with a little vaccuum seal. My friend says it's been acurate and problem free. Water refills are infrequent.

If you want fancy wood and marquetry, it's going to cost you, but an Aristocrat is of heirloom quality; it's not going anywhere... I'll end up either buying his, or buying my own because at 100+ boxes and it's getting tight!

You can see the 1200 Deluxe next to the Triple D...looks like her little sister!
Now THAT's what I'm talking about. I'm holding out for a humi of that size for my next purchase, which probably won't be for a while. I just find it so difficult to save cash for a humi right now because I'd rather keep buying boxes of habanos. Maybe in a couple of years when my stock is up and I have a little extra cash. One nice humi, that's for sure.

Yeah, I was saying the exact same thing (I could buy many boxes for the $$ the cabinet costs)! I see it as an investment in my cigars...I'm very happy with what Ron & Matt @ Avallo have done for me.

Thanks - That cabinet is one of those things that you wait 25 years to be in a position to get for yourself... I will certainly post some pictures when it gets here.

Re: Cabinet Humidor Suggestions?

I decided to go with the Aristocrat Mini-DX. It has a small footprint so the wife acceptance factor is higher than the other larger cabinets. The DX drawer gives me an extra singles drawer for 100 sticks or so. I got so many options that I could have got a larger cabinet, but I think this will go with our decor best.
It is;
Aristocrat Mini
Glass top
Glass door
DX exterior drawer (for singles)
Interior drawer (for singles)
Set and Forget climate system
DX sculpted base trim
Sapele inlay around DX drawer
Med. Brown Mahogany finish
Bob says it is about a month out and I CAN"T WAIT!!!
Thanks to everybody that gave me input, and helped me decide.

Jeff

Re: Cabinet Humidor Suggestions?

I have completely fallen off the edge in the cabinet humidor search - I had originally placed an order for the Connisseur 1200 (http://www.cheaphumidors.com/Merchan..._Code=Preorder) - just cancelled the order last week. After too many hours of research, decided to use the tax money on a cabinet - gonna plunk down the money on an Aristocrat Plus '48 (http://www.aristocrathumidors.com/ar...atplus48.html). After all the research, determined that I should just go ahead and go for something good and big. Don't think you can go wrong with any of the custom makers, Avallo, Aristocrat, Petro, Arlin. I determined that for me, it is worth the $$ to do this once.
