Ziploc humidors
We recently bought & moved into a different home. I no longer have an office, so the old 72 qt plastidors must go. I bought a couple of slide under plastidors to go under the bed in the spare bedroom & that will do quite nicely for a fairly large portion of my collection (the rh is running 68-69% in the slide unders).
I saw a commecial on TV for large Ziploc storage bags & wondered if they might just work. They cost about $1.25 each & hold several boxes apiece. The requirement for media is minimal & they are quite versatile concerning where you can store them (I will be storing them under beds). I have 4 up & running with a couple more to go. I have yet to get the rh at optimal levels in all of them, but am confident that this is easily attainable (one is running a bit high at 74 rh). Anyhoo, to make a long story short, for about a $2 investment, you can set up a humidor in minutes that will hold @8 boxes & slide em out of sight. Just a hint from Heloise...... BTW, the fridgadors will hold a place of honor in my new office which will be in the southwest corner of the large living room. I have the desktops in the living room too. The smoking room is in the garage (complete with 13" TV & lawn chair as I have been banished from smoking in the house ).

Re: Ziploc humidors
After a bit of time........here's my issues with this idea.
They are a pain to access & the zippers wear out. Guess I should have foreseen these issues. They do work, however, if you plan to leave em for awhile, they are a cheap & viable quick humi.

Re: Ziploc humidors
I kind of use that same Idea. When I come home from school some weekends I visit a shop about 15 min away and since I dont have my humi with me I take the cigars and put them in a zip lock bag with a small paper towel thats been dipped in distilled h2o and staple that near the top of the bag away from the sticks. Works well for a few days
