Have to put beads on the inside of lid because the humidity will sink? Or just put on the sides?

Have problems with the valve on bottom of cooler that is used to empty water? Have to modify it somehow?

Humidity rises, place them throughout in small quantities.

If you want to seal the drain, not recommending you have to, try some aquarium grade silicone sealer.

Use a cork, then you wont have to wait for the silicone to cure and lose it smell.

I dont think bead placement is particularly important. It will probably help recovery to have several packets scattered about, having double the amount required for your size cooler will also take care of recovery.
