One more newb question! After I leave this packet in my humidor and assuming it reaches the right humidity, do I need to do anything else before i place my cigars in the humidor?

Nope, just patience to make sure it is stablized

You know a lot of these questions can be answered with a little looking

So unless someone has a new topic that has never been brought up before, we should not take up your time? I suspect the forums would be rather slow with this outlook.

Along with giving him a fish, he is trying to teach him how to fish.

Re: Boveda One step seasoning?

We're assuming that in addition to the seasoning packet you have a humidification device of some sort (beads, square foam humidifier, etc)?

According to Boveda, you should use 1 pack for each 50 cigar capacity plus 1 pack, so you would need 4 packs to properly seasonyour humi.

Re: Boveda One step seasoning?

I used one new packet and one ready to die packet to season a "200ct" humi. Just keep that one in for a full 14days without opening the lid...just lock it tight and leave it....when you pull it out, put just the humidifier and the hygrometer in, and check to see if it's at the right humidity and stable...when it is, then it's time to start loading it.

The Boveda method works, but it's slower than heck. I've been working on a method using heartfelt beads that seems to be MUCH faster (about as fast as the wet wipe + bowl method).
