Stick around here and your humi will be to small in a day or two.

If it has a tight draw. You can't really tell by sight and feel. If it has a tight draw, do no light it. Sit it back in your humidor and it may open up over time or drybox it for a few days.

Also, check out cigarbid.com for good deals on cigars.

It's run by cigars international. You can pick daily shipping or weekly shipping. Weekly is best if you plan to purchase several items because you can combine shipping. Be sure to check the retail prices at cigars int. so you do don't bid above retail.

We call it the Devil Site because it tempts so much!

heh, yeah. the prices on the padron #3000 maduro were about $10 cheaper then regular sites. It's run by cigars international, but are the auctions by people or cigars international?

I just opened up my humidor, the hygrometer said 65% and I took the shot glass of water out and filled my sponge humidifier up a tad. I'm going to let it sit for a few hours and open it back up and see what the hygrometer says. I reset the hygrometer memory, it said min-53, max-92. If it says around 68% when I open it in a few hours, I figure its ready for my cigars.

The cigars are from CI stock and it's run by CI. The only thing regular poeple do is bid.

Re: seasoning a humidor and temp storage questions

I'm back, 4 hours later without a shot glass in the humidor, the humidor got as high as 66% and low as 64% so I guess thats good and I'm glad its at least stable. think I should give it more time or put my cigars in now?

Re: seasoning a humidor and temp storage questions

When I use to buy humidors I would usually season for 4 - 6 days so as to make sure it was stable. Also remember when you put your cigars in there the humidity is gonna rise or fall, according to if the cigars are too dry or too moist. Don't worry about it, it is normal and will usually level off within 24 - 48 hours.

Good luck.
