Mounting hygrometer in humidor

I have a little digital hygrometer, its about the size of an inch thick credit card. I want to mount it in the top of my lid but I don't know what to use. I could just lay it on top of my cigars?

I just tried using some scotch tape but nothing sticks to wood well.

Strong Double-sided tape or velcro should work. Use a little touch of alcohol to clean off a place where you are going to stick the tape so it will stick.

Try some velcro strips for each the humidor and the hygrometer or some self adhesive 3M style pads with the sticky on both sides.

I would use self adhesive magnets. They work really well. Some use velcro, but the humidity can cause it to loosen up a bit.
