Desktop Humidity

What humidity do you keep your desktop humi at? Also how often should one open up the coolerdor to allow the amonia to get out.

Re: Desktop Humidity

I keep my desktop(s) at 65% with beads. It's recommended to open a coolerdor at least once per month, but I tend to be in my "rubbermaidador" more often to rotate stock.

Re: Desktop Humidity

I keep everything at 65%.

I open it every day or two to either get a cigar or let some fresh air in there.

I would concur wioth RPB...

If cigars were meant to be bred, born and raised in a vacuum, they would be vacuum-cleaners!!!!

Re: Desktop Humidity

I keep mine at 65. Works well for me.

And I have a smoke once a day, so it is opened once a day by me. Son sneaks in every now and then and gets a wiff.

Re: Desktop Humidity

I had my desktop, cabinet, and cooler all at 65% using beads. I smoked a couple of NCs the other day and found them a little dry. I rearranged everything yesterday, placing all my NCs in the cabinet and my other cigars in the cooler. I've ordered 70% beads for the NCs.

Re: Desktop Humidity

My humi has settled in at 65 RH. I get into it almost daily so don't have any experience with amonia.
