humidity temp changes everyday-will the cigars be ok?

Hi,
The humidity in my humidor seems to change everyday. Yesterday it was 66% today it's 67% will this damage the cigars?

I'm using heartfelt beads.

1-3% swings will not hurt anything. I have bigger swings than that when my heat comes on in the house. Worry when its higher than 70% and warmer than 80 degrees as thats when there can be problems (problems can occur other times also)


I use beads in my leaky humidor to keep it @ 60% but I can watch it go up and down all day long.


Make sure you have salt tested the hygro and enjoy the cigars!

No, and don't give it a second thought. These digital hygrometers react and change quickly...too quickly in my opinion. I sometimes wonder if we'd all be better off with a quality analog gauge that doesn't move at the drop of a hat. Mine fluctuates between 66 and 70 all the time and my smokes have never once complained.

All this fancy technology reminds me of my car which wants me to check engine all the time. The motor's fine...it's that danged sensitive check engine light that needs to shut up.

I am new in the jungle but have had cigars for years. I can tell you that small changes in humidity do not affect your cigars at all. Don't worry about it and enjoy your stogies.

Don't sweat small RH fluctuations in your humi. Did you recently add some more sticks? If so, most B&Ms have high RHs and your humidity will spike after adding new cigars. The beads will do what they are supposed to do and things will equilibrate.

BTW, I keep my humis between 62-65%.

I dont use a meter anymore I go by looks and feel and the color of the beads
