Re: Cigar cut methods

I use a single blade, a double blade, and a punch. I'll alternate between a Xikar, Palio, Havana Cutter and a Vector punch depending on the cigar and my mood. But I do find myself using the single blade Havana more and more.

Re: Cigar cut methods

I use a Xikar cutter; it works great.
Occasionally, I will use the scissors in my swiss army knife when I don't have my cutter with me.

I mainly use a double blade Davidoff Zino cutter , gifted 1 from my wife quite a few years ago and bought 1 on Ebay for $17.00 this year , have 1 at home and 1 at work now . I started using a punch a few months ago but was having problems with a tar like build up in the opening , switched back to the dbl blade , never any problems with the cutter . As for the CS cutter , I don't have one , missed the boat on them , but yeah it should have been a choice . So we'll have to cut the newbie (ncohafmuta) a break since he didn't know about them . Welcome to the board , ncohafmuta .

I have been using this more than others lately. I have a Xi1, Xikar mag punch, Palio, Avo punch, and several punches on my Colibri lighters. I like the Havana cutter so much cause it does a great job, and if I drop it when I'm fumbling outside in the dark, no harm. Don't want to scratch up my good stuff.

Re: Cigar cut methods

When I'm at home, and time permits, I prefer to use the Home Depot Single-Blade Cutter (pack of 50 blades for about 4 bucks).

Otherwise, it's the double-blade guillotine.

I agree...unless it's dry or pointed (pyramid, etc.). I punch w/ 7 or 9mm. For some reason I switched from a 2X blade Xikar a year ago.

Re: Cigar cut methods

I either use my Xikar or a Havana Cutter.

Most of the time it is the single blade Havana Cutter.

Re: Cigar cut methods

I love my Donatus gold v-cutter. I also have a CS Havana cutter for my torpedos and other odd ended stogies.

Not only do I love the draw from a v-cut you look so much cooler with one of these. http://cgi.ebay.com/Royal-Lochnagar-...QQcmdZViewItem

Now that I've purchased all I want I recommend you stock up at such a low price. These cutters are Donatus brand.
