Nah, v-wedge = v-cut, or cat's eye, depending on what you call it. There's a picture of a couple of them in thread #2 below. You've probably seen em before, most B&Ms have em sitting up front, with the cheapy guillotines and stuff.

I personally only use my xikar, and am thinking about an upgrade to a palio, when I can afford it.

Re: Cigar cut methods

Always used a single/double cutter. I like the Xikar I have now but wonder if I would like the Palio or the X1/X3. I have the X2 and it just feels a bit light in the hands.

Anyone know of a Palio dealer with a money back ga-run-tee?

Re: Cigar cut methods

I mainly use a double bladed guillotine cutter except when I use the Havana cutter.

Use my teeth on my cheap smokes. Double blade on the good ones.

Re: Cigar cut methods

Other, Havana Cutter. I know its single bladed, but it deserves its own spot on the list.

Re: Cigar cut methods

Palio has been my "go to" cutter for years. In fact, I still have the first two I ever bought and use them both (one I carry and one in the truck).

My second choice would definitely be the SAK (Swiss Army Knife Cutter)

Third would go to the German made Xikar (not the newer ones)
