True, true.

Or...

Get an appropriate size Cooler with a good seal.
If you have cigar boxes use em, best if spanish cedar.
Get some beads (Heartfelt or others).
Get a hygrometer.
Load and enjoy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do a search on "Coolerdor" or "Beads" or Salt Test.
Unfortunately with the many ways to spell "coolidor", "coolador", "coller-a-dor", "cooler"… (well you get the picture), finding "coolador" information in the Club Stogie database via the search can be frustrating. (not the CS databases fault)
But… if you look near the bottom left hand side of this page for the word "Tags" (just above Quick Reply) you will see the word "coolador" below it. Click on that and you should be presented with plenty of threads regarding using, preparing, buying, choosing, humidifying, maintaining, etc. one.
Re: How to make a coolidor
This is my recipe for success:
120QT $48.00 Igloo cooler, $20.00 Caliber III hygro, 3/4 lb 65% beads, 2 oust fans, many empty cigar boxes for singles storage.
Rock solid! - month after month after month....
