Digital Hygrometer Dilemma

So here's the thing...I bought a new hygrometer months ago and thought everything was fine until I noticed my vitolas starting to swell.

So out I went and bought another to confirm that the one I was already using was wonky...so I buy this second Hygro and it seems to be fine but knowing my previous assumptions were incorrect I went out and bought another (I needed it anyway for the top part of my cab that holds 65% beads anyways) now I've got 3 hygro's the newest reading 72% (Envirolite) the other fairly new hygro reads 67% (Accu-Rite) and the older (Madeline's Super Thin) reads 55% which I know is way off...now what gives!

How would you test the 2 newer Hygro's and do you think it be worth to go out and buy a 3rd one to compare to the 2 I already bought? If you would agree with the latter I would appreciate your input on an accurate/reliable model.

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

Have you done salt calibrations on them? I would try doing that with all three hygros in the same chamber at the same time and see what the results are.

Along with the salt-test, try getting new batteries. Who knows how long it was sitting on a warehouse shelf before it got to you.
