Like my bead holder?

I was looking for something that would give me a large surface area, not spill or leak, and would be easily refilled. I was getting in my daily medicine container (I take a lot of pills, long story) and it hit me. These are cheap ($2-$4 depending on size) and the lids make a nice barrier to keep the sticks off the beads. I have them in all 4 of my humidors and they work PERFECT. The pic is from my 50 ct. Maestro de Paja. I requires VERY little maintence and is easy to see when they need to be charged. I usually use a baby dropper filled with DW.
What do you think?

Nice bead holder, but I like your cigars more.

It's a nice, practical and inexpensive solution. But as a humidor lover, I gotta tell ya, it does nothing for the look of your humidor. What can I say? I'm picky about stuff like that.

The empty tubes from Heartfelt range between $4.00 to $8.00 depending on size, just a little more expensive than the solution you came up with but they're more aethetically pleasing. Additionally, you could get some of the drawstring bags, which don't look as nice.

Re: Like my bead holder?

Looks weren't a big issue when I was choosing what to put beads in. Most of the time I am the only one looking in them anyway. I have some small heartfelt tubes that I put on the top trays of my humis. I think that they are harder to recharge, and I was looking for low maintenance. It is also nice to not have little bits of broken beads in the bottom of the humi

If it works, DO IT!!

I use stockings, perforated tubos, and (lately) cigarillo tins pierced with about 100 1/16" holes... I like the tins, because they're low-profile, high surface area, and it's easy to pop them open for a misting with the DW spray bottle.

Re: Like my bead holder?

That, my friend, was a very good idea IMHO, I hate the little pieces of beads everywhere too. Lost a few getting the end caps off of the tubes also, but I see you have eliminated that. Might have to jack this idea from you.
How about taking it a step further and placing small holes in the lids, so that way you could close them and reduce the chance of spillage?? and maybe be able to place cigars on top?? Just my

Re: Like my bead holder?

I like having the lids to keep the sticks from rolling on top of the beads, but you could drill holes if you need all the room.
Thanks for the reply, I thought it was a good idea in a dead thread.

I like it. Hopefully no one but me is looking in my humidor. Function before form, and I too dislike the broken bead syndrome.
