Davidoff Cigar Scissors

I was a very lucky guy today. I got a gift from my cousin who was living in Europe. I got a Davidoff Scissors cutter from him, they are used, he got it from his boss as a gift and he doesn't smoke cigars so he gave it to me. I would never pay for this it's rediculously expensive, but it's nice to have. I was wondering how these cut and do they self sharpen or do I have to sharpen them? Haven't smoked much after my operation but I will start this week and will use this cutter, I hope I don't damage any cigars, never used scissors before.

I haven't been here that much in the New Year so I apologize for starting up a thread in any wrong way, but I guess I just stupidly just dont' get the mistake. I did a search for these cutters and there was one post only on it.

Re: Davidoff Cigar Scissors

I used to buy cigars from this local cigar store back in Hong Kong. They had a pair of those on the counter for us to cut our 'gars. It makes a perfect cut every time.

Re: Davidoff Cigar Scissors

A wonderful piece of art!!!

Though I must confess that I've never been able to get the hang of it.

I've got a pair, much less expensive, that comes in handy for clipping the left and right edges of my big toenails... Works great!

Onward and forward!!

Re: Davidoff Cigar Scissors

I just cut a cigar with it and it really is an amazing cutter. I have never used scissors before but the cut was the cleanest I've ever cut. Thanks for all the congrats. I know this might be a stupid question, but do these self sharpen or do I have to sharpen them?

Re: Davidoff Cigar Scissors

Thanks Miki, now I don't have to hide the Palio cutter I recieved in the mail today. I can tell my wife how much I paid for them and then say "See honey, I could have bought these!". Thanks again for the "out".

Those are beautiful, Enjoy.

Re: Davidoff Cigar Scissors

Miki, I'm no expert, but I'm gonna guess that they'll need to be sharpened. The whole "self-sharpening" thing... never really made sense to me, don't see hwo it could work. So I'd day for optimum results, sharpen those. Man, they sure are beautiful!
