Condensation in Fridge w/ Oasis?

I have an avanti thermoelectric cooler setup. I have been using beads and am thinking about adding a Cigar Oasis to aid in humidification. Will condensation be a problem and if I add a fan, shouldn't this be able to take care of it. Anybody with experience out there? Thanks!

I don't think condensation will be a problem. The Oasis will shut off once the RH has reached its set point. If there is any excess RH, your beads should absorb it, assuming they are not saturated.

An Oasis might be overkill though. You could probably get away with a passive humistat. The Avanti should be fairly airtight and should retain RH quite well.

Funny you should mention this today. This morning I heard the fan running of my Oasis and out of habit (like Pavlov's Dog) I check the humidity. My set point is ~72 % the Hygrometer displayed 83%. Yikes!!! I had to pull the power for the Oasis to get it to respond. Must be running Windows.

So, if you are worried about condensation, be sure to check the humidor regularly to make sure the Oasis has not gone silly.
