I need help with my fridge. I've had it set up for 24 hours or more and I can't get the humidity above 51%-55% Rh. I have a decent amount of boxes in there to help regulate the Rh, but no dice. I noticed a lot more water pooling in the drain and in the rear of the unit, could this be a sign of humidity loss? Anyone with a fridge unit; do you plug the drain or do anything special? Please help me out, thanks. MDD.

I've read somewhere, someone, somehow used the excess moisture to rehydrate their beads. Not sure how it's done, as I don't own a fridge unit.

Just curious, what temperature are you holding the fridge at?

Well, when I set mine up with the Cigar Oasis. It started out nice. The RH on it was like 65-67%, then I noticed the water pooling in the bottom back, so I drained it and put down a paper towel just in case it did the same again.

Well since then I couldnt get my RH level back up to 65-67%. It was staying 59-60%, and no more pooling in the back.

I think you have to have cedar boxes in there to regulate it, then temp is important too. Mine stays at 69 degrees. So the more your unit runs the more it eats up your Humidity.

Do you plug in your unit? I've been hearing not to because it eats up humidity. MDD.

Mine stays plugged in, because I live in TX. and in TX, the summer heats gets up to the triple digits! Inside my house, the temp. stays at 77 deg. so you see why mine stays plugged in.

I keep the temp at 70 deg and as you know the higher the temp the higher the RH will go. So 70 is the highest I will keep it. Also I keep the ciagr Oasis full of D-water and now my RH is normal at 65-67 rh.
