Jumpin' Johnnie still hasn't grasped the finer points of Smack-Talk yet; he must rely on the brutish "basic insult" instead... <G>

Now bear in mind that I usually "spot-glue" with the liquid nails, not smear it on like frosting on a cake...

I highly recommend you do not use glue at all. Think of the hundreds (maybe thousands) of dollars worth of cigars you will store in there! You don't want them picking up any chemical odors at all!
Double sided tape is a good suggestion. I used very small stainless steel sheet metal screws when I lined my cooler with cedar. Pre-drill the wood, but the sheet metal screws self start in the cooler's plastic and hold well. No bad smells and easy to replace if you decide to for any reason! |

Gorilla Glue? Can't remember that having a distinct smell. Or Elmer's - hell you can EAT that stuff...
Wouldn't the adhesive from the tape have an odor as well? Probably insignificant overall... |

I agree with this. Carpenter glue is the way to go.

You should be fine with a high quality water resistant wood glue. Dont over do it, it doesnt take much to get a good bond. Either that or just use some drywall or wood screws if your cedar is thick enough.
