Sweet New Humidification unit. Oasis XL--buh bye!

So I stopped by my favorite place today and I got a nice Surprise.

I may have to replace my Oasis-XL!

Mike(http://www.tampahumidor.com/) was quick to let me in on the new humidification device he just got in. Man I love that place, and he is FINALLY gonna move into a new place with a smoking LOUNGE!(been waitinf for YEARS..ok maybe 1.5 years)

It looks to have a bigger "tank" than the Oasis-XL, the Hygrometer that is built in is adjustable(the one in my oasis is 4 points off), and it has an audible alarm that tells you when the water is out(he said you can disable too I think). The thing I liked the most is it has an expandable cable that lets you run up to 2 or 3 fans.

He also said you can run the aux fans constant or intermitant with the fan in the unit.

I had my digi so I took some pics. This I think will help alleviate the need for the Oust fan I have already. And it's cheaper than the oasis.

I am gonna be getting one of these in the next few days. Anyone need an Oasis XL?

Oh yea..that Puros Indios Cheif in the picture..yea that went home with me today! LOL John-eat your heart out! LOL

Will do. This new one is too cool to pass up! LOL I am gonna string the fans in my humi so I don't have a wet bottom and a dry top.(ok that sounded weird but I am talking about my cabinet humi....I swear!)

I saw these new humidifiers a few days ago and thought the fan ports were a great idea for cabinet style humis. I am in cigar buying purgatory for the time being, so let us know how it works out for you.

Does the tank have foam in it like the Oasis?

It does have the foam in it. The plastic used on this device seems a little nicer along with the buttons having a more refined feel. I know it seems trivial but it made a nice impression on me.

I will run with the beads when my ice chest is done, but that one will go in it eventually. I love the fan idea.

I can't remember but for some reason $10 cheaper than the Oasis is sticking in my head.

He did say the Aux fan setup will be extra.

I'll let you know but I think John put his tractor beams on it. For some reason it is glowing red all of a sudden.

That thing looks tough.
My bro Stephen gave me his brand new Oasis when he bought a Vigilant humidor.

Picked mine up today! It is nice. I won't get to hook it up until tomorrow but it was $89.95. Basically I got the Hydra and the aux fan setup with one fan for cheaper than an Xlplus Oasis!

Oh yea!

I just got one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/Le-Veil-DCH-01-A...QQcmdZViewItem yesterday with my new chest humi. I really like the idea of multiple fans (thinking I would use 3) though, so this one might be available soon.
