cracking pucks
I just received a pound of beads and am wondering if others have ever busted open the cheap pucks found in the 20 count humis and replaced the oasis crap with beads.

I've got enough beads to last quite a while...I hope.

I have done that. I took my girlfr.................I mean my wifes old pantyhose and made them bead humidifiers! Works 10 times better!

I opened mine a took the oasis out to replace with beads. Instead of beads I got the jell instead-(wife picked up)-don't think or know if they would work in the case. Does anyone know?

How much wrer the beads & wherer did you purchase? If you have too much PM me !

No reason it wouldn't. I would guess they wouldn't be as efficient, compared to being in pantyhose, etc. do to the fact there would be less area exposed(in the container).

Make sure the lid is secure or you'll have beads everywhere.

Yeah, on one I'm gonna super glue it and the other is already glued. I'm not using these in large humidors, just the little 20 count ones

Yeh, pulled out the foam and replaced with beads, used one of the pieces of the mesh bags that I ordered with the beads

It works great but why not go to a pet store and buy some filter bags from them to put your beads in?
