Just thought id share a few pics of the "freezador". A buddy of mine, Rob, had a stand up freezer take a crap on him so we decided to turn it into a humi. First off, we gutted it. It still had the compressor and the wire shelves in it. Took all of 30 mins. Rob had a piece of Bamboo he thought would make a good door handle. Next we wanted to just add a few cedar shelves for boxes and what not. I came up with a few ideas and decided we need drawers! Rob had an old desk with drawers he didnt want anymore so i came up with what you see. Since we went this far, why not go all out?? Rob came up with the cigar box lid montage you see, he also came up with using the sides and bottoms of the boxes on the back of the freezador. I wanted to be able to see whats in it so i wired it for light when the door opens(top light burnt out before taking the pic). I also wanted to maintain the right temp, since its in a basement, so i wired it for heat. I used a reptile thermostat to maintain temp in it. It stays +/- 1 degree of 68 all year. The 3 drawers on the bottom will all hold 100-200 singles, and the top holds 75-150 all depending on size. The humi is now holding 40-50 boxes and countless singles.
