Even if they are digital they can still be off. Do a salt test to see, better safe than sorry..

I'd still salt test the digitals. I have one that is off by 10 RH points and 5 degrees. I put a note on it with the variances, so I don't forget.

I have two digital hygrometers that read different rh's. Could some one explain the salt method of calibration and how to use it. Thanks.

I just got the calibration packet from heartfelt industries. It works up to 3 months. I have my hygrometers in there now waiting 24 hours to check them.

New Adjustable Hydrometers

You can get digital hygrometers, now, that are adjustable. Check out the link below, where you can buy an adjustable hygrometer that comes with a calibration kit, for only $20.00, and best of all, it's simple to set-up and use.

Mine are in the clalibration bag now, and the original one i have been using is 10% higher than the other two i just got from heartfelt. If it reads 85.5% in a few hours and the others read closer to the 75.5% ( what the bag goes to) i am going to be very angry.
