This is a discussion on How To: Custom Bead holder within the Cigar Accessory Questions forums, part of the Cigar Accessory Discussion category; that's a cool idea. I may have to try that....

The splash guard is a good idea. I retro-fitted some cheap round humidifiers and if you shake them a little and turn them upside down, a few beads manage to fall out. I just set them on top of the cigars and it works. I doesn't take up anymore room because the lid doesn't have a recess for the humidifier anyway.

I just recently retro-fitted my Cigar Trek travel humidor with beads and the humidifier was pretty nice. The top half unscrewed so it is easy to remove and see exactly how much water you are putting in. I need to contact them and see if they will tell where they got such a nice design. Since this one is glued in the lid I might try the splash guard to eliminate the loss of the small beads. How much did it cost at Wally World?

Anyone ever tried using the old black Credos for beads? Maybe line them with cheesecloth or something like that?
