That is a good one. And a good price for a brand new one. I think a few people on here have used that model. I would go for it myself if my budget allowed it (and the wife of course)

That's the one I"ve got...the only bitch I have about it are the sharp edges on the doors, so especially if ya have little ones, put some kind of bumper stop on the edges....I've got a nice scar from mine....*laugh*

But yeah...it's a good fridge, just make sure you clean it out and let the plastic smell out before stocking it...

I was thinking of getting a wine fridge and putting an Oasis in it.

How about some feedback.

I've been wondering the same thing, maybe this is a noob question but what is the advantage of actually powering and running the fridge? Could it just be kept passive or with a Hydra or CO running inside?

I have that set up! I have the 28 bottle Vinotemp Thermo electric. Bought an oasis that plugs up to the wall and put it in there Booya! Never looked back! It stays 64-67 RH% as far as the temp in ther I keep it at 68-69. It works great!

You can keep it passive as long as the normal temperature in your house is 'around' 70 (there are many views on the ideal temp). I live in an old house and turn the AC way down while at work and the temp can go over 80 degrees at times. The wine cooler helps to keep a more consistent temp around 68 degrees and prevent any outbreaks of those nasty beetles.
