Don't let them go over say 73...you don't want no lil buggies flying around in there.

I keep my freezador below 70! 66-68 is great if you can get it that low. above 70 risks the beetles!!!!

I would also go cooler than warmer. I personally like my smokes when they've been stored at a lower humidity and temp. The smokes just seem to burn better. Give it a try.

no way to keep the temp more consistent then that? Thats a fairly big fluctuation in temp.

I can set it at 1° +or - just looking for a happy place for my cigars with the least amount of wear on my fridge.

DITTO on the 66. Anything over 70 with an error to 75 and you have beetles eating your cigars. Good luck

Mine is set at 64 but the real temp inside is 68 degrees. I keep my Hygometer and 2 Temp gauges in there. I also keep it at around 67-70 temp, with 64-68 Rh. Good luck with yours.

How bad is it for the temperature to go really high for a couple hours? Over the summer I had to move, and my humi temperature soared for a couple hours while I moved from one place to another. After I got there I immediately unpacked it and opened it to let it cool off. just curious. I didn't notice anything too bad (beetles, splitting, etc.) so I assume it was ok as long as it isn't long term.

Guys, I gotta ask the obvious pair of questions here. How long have we had readily available temp controlled cigar storage, and how long have people been storing cigars? I've never been in a B&M that maintained a temp less than 70 degrees. I honestly don't mean to imply that optimal storage isn't a good thing, or that one shouldn't try to provide the best environment for treasured sticks, but I wonder if it isn't something like the 70/70 rule.

Before I bought my wine cooler, I had a desktop humi and the temp inside all summer stayed at 74 degrees. Nothing happened! So yea its cool.
