Humidity beads

I've been using humidity beads for well over a year. I was keeping them in some old pantyhose my wife gave me to cut up and use.(they were clean..lol) I recently needed some beads in a different humi and cut open a bag I had been using and discovered the beads were brown! Are the beads ruined? Are they still okay and just took on the color of the hose? I'm thinking about throwing them away and starting over. I'd appreciate your thoughts.

Unless it's dye from the pantyhose (I doubt it is).

Your RH Beads should be fine. The brown discoloration of the beads is typically because they absorb oils from your cigars as they regulate moisture.

I hope this helps.

I just got some, and they work great so far. Maintaining ~ 65% for the past 7 days.

Good to know. Those things cost too much to just throw away.
