Humidor Help

Okay I have to move to a new house closer to my new installation. As such I need a new humidor of considerable capacity. The ones in the future shop are not finished and about an hour away from the base anyways. So I need suggestions on what kind of humi to get and who to go through that will ship to Japan or APO boxes. Im looking for 1000+ with lots a space for loose sticks. Also cost is a bit of a factor as this is being done on an enlisted military budget. I really appreciate any help you can give. Cedar is just so damned expensive here.

A coolidor may be your best option untill you get back state side. I don't know how it is now but in 99 when I moved back from korea they busted all my stuff up.

Good suggestion. My nephew was deployed in September. He tried to pack his laptop well enough so it would survive the trip to Iraq. It didn't. The screen was busted off, like someone purposely bent it all the way until it broke (I know a military man would never do that to one of his own, just reporting how he said it looked).

I wouldn't get anything expensive that would later have to be shipped home.

In my case shipping it home isnt a requirement. I am retiring from the military here in Tokyo. So really its a long term investment. But again and investment on a budget. I was thinking of converting a closet but closets here are not the walk in kind.
