We were thinkin along the same lines only I got the 90 quart Coleman cooler with the cup holders on top. Wally had this unit on sale for $28 so I got two of them and have the heartfelt bead coming in this week,,,abouta pound and a half of them. These beads work so well it is almost no maintenance at all and I know that my stogies will be in great shape for the boxes I also ordered. The wife wanted to know why Im buying all of the coolers,,,,simple. It's summertime and we have guests coming and we need the coolers for when we have the partys to keep things cold,,,,is this wrong to stretch the truth because I didn't tell her that I will be using the coolers for different things when the guests leave?

I don't have the cooler yet. I ordered it friday and hopefully will be delivered to the store by this friday.

This is my first using the beads, so i hope they work to my expectations. I've read so much good about them.

I didn't go to beads, till I went to my cooler. I was also very scared about if they really did work the way they claimed. My luck, was great! I tested it using a digital hygrometer that I had in my wooden box, so I was familiar with how it read. I put the beads, a glass of water, and a few empty boxes that I was 'seasoning' in there for 2 days, till the entire gig read a perfect 65.

Of course, on that day, my girlfriend picked up the cooler, and turned it sideways, spilling the water on everything. She was trying to show me that it would fit in this cubby hole that she had found ) = I ended up using some of the dry beads poured into the boxes, to suck up the split water! haha. No cigars were harmed.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how well those beads work, I know I was!

I was "old school" as far as taking care of my cigars for the last 15 years,,,making sure that the humi was seasoned, cedar planks inside the unit, using paradigm equipment, etc etc. Since the beads came along it is without a doubt the best thing as far as keeping your smokes in whatever RH you like. I like mine around 70% but if you want 65% you can order that as well and it's magic. I have 4 humis with the 70% beads and each digital readout is pegged at exactly 70%RH. I just got 2 90 qt. coolerdors from Walmart,,,the Coleman series and I can hardly wait to fill them up and use the beads. I know without a doubt that cigars are going to be going up in price because of what is taking place in each state and the taxes are going to be extreme and that will make purchasing cigars even more difficult. I will stock up and fill the coolerdors and should have a few years of no worries.
