Storing Full Boxes

When storing a full box of cigars do I unwrap the box? If I unwrap the box should I prop the box open for circulation? Or if I have the room should I just take the cigars out of the box.

Well, it depends on your preference. If you are storing them long term, and don't plan to smoke any, just leave the box wrapped until you decide to smoke one a few years from now. If you are going to smoke them, leave them in the box, but unwrap it and take them out at your leisure. I would keep them in the box for safetys sake, lest you damage the feet. Just my .02.

I generally open them just for inspection, then leave them in the box with it closed for aging.

Eric & Michael are spot on ^ -Personally I always unwrap and prop open so I can at least try one after some period of rest----but differently keep them in the box like Eric & Michael stated above.

Same here. I also take the cello off the bottom layer for better aging. I've heard they age slower with the cello on and better in direct contact with the cedar.

Factories and warehouses leave the boxes wrapped for extended periods of time with no issues.
