Storing Bundles in the cello they came in?

Dear fellow brothers and sisters of the leaf,

I need some advice. I seem to be accumulating many bundles and don't have room to put them in one of my humis, so I am storing them in one of my army ammo boxes which I have humidified with beads. Should I remove the original cello that's wrapped around the entire bundle or is it okay to leave it on until I open that bundle? I appreciate the advice.

Leaving the cello on is perfectly fine, plus it's added protection. The cigars will get the humidity they need, even with the cello and bundle wrapper on. The only thing taking the cello off helps with, is that it speeds up the cigars aging process.

If you have the space, I would leave it on.

It seems as if the humidity will work its way through/around the cello. Leave it on.

I usually just open the foot end of the bundle but leave them wrapped. that way they might breath a little easier, but they stay together.

leave it open, the cellophane is porous and allows moisture in and out

I agree, as long as you can smell the cigars the cellophane is porous enough. But if you cannot smell the cigars I would make some little holes in the cellophane.
