IMHO I'd never whipe down the inside. When I have A piece of wood with A slight warp, I wet one side to make it move in the desired direction. Wood that goes from A low moisture content to A high content has A movement strong enough to pull nails out. The reason most humidors won't have A problem is because wood moves across the grain more than end to end. That means your Humi gets taller more so than wider or longer. This movement isn't as critical when it comes to warping. wetting one side and not the other though will cause expansion on the inside which could cause it to warp to the outside. Because Humidors are so small it will be very minimal though. I still won't risk it myself.

There are people that say one thing and people that say the other, I am not sure if there is an exact way to do it. |

so on bigger humidors, no wipey for sure!
I am thinking a couple bowls of water, and let it sit for a couple days.

I personally never wipe down the inside of a humidor. With a starter quality humidor with a very thin layer of spanish cedar I don't want to risk warping it, and with a $1,000+ humidor with a thick layer of spanish cedar I don't want to risk damaging it in any way! I have been very happy with Humidpak's seasoning packets. You have to be patient with them, but they DO work. Just give them a week to 10 days WITHOUT opening the humidor and it will definitely absorb the humidity and begin to stabilize for you. Just my 2 cents from experience with a number of my own desktops.

i listened to Bill and just used the bowl's of distilled water. I have done that in the past, so might as well keep with that theory.
