What glue to use

My girlfriend bought me a humidor for christmas. It's a pretty nice humidor, the only thing is the velcro that was used to stick on the thermometer and sponge is not sticking due to the humidity. What glue should i use to stick them back on that will not have fumes that will add taste to the cigars?

Thank you

I wouldn't use any glue inside your humidor! If you can't get the velcro that came with it to work then try getting some better velcro at the hardware store (stronger tape side). If you still can't get it to work try making space in your humidor for them. You should be able to find some velcro to work.

Also there was just a thread started the other day about the Puck, it is filled with beads instead of a sponge. Something to look into, much easier to use and maintain. Good luck!

Stop by your local DMV and get some of those tapes they use to hold the E-Z Pass/Speed Pass to your windshield. They have no smell to them and stick to just about anything forever. I use them to hold the hydrometer in my cooler and they've held for years now.

I usually sniff testors model glue...gives a nice....wait a minute....

I used gorilla glue, but let the 'dor open for about a month and then took another month to reseason it...but I had 2 other humidors to take up the slack

I just use the little packs of 3M velcro squares because the tape on the velcro that came with the humidifiers I previously got were garbage..

if you get the puck the tape is very strong, and it comes with Magnets instead of velcro.

Im waiting for my Puck to arrive. Should be here tomorrow. I used velcro from my local big box store. It worked well with no worry about glue.

I use 3-M double sided tape with the red plastic peel off. This stuff holds great.

You could pass on the puck and simply go with a humitube.
