Store cigars in bags?

Do any of you guys store cigars in plastic bags in your humidors? I'm going to have to do that because I shevles but i dont have trays. Do I leave the bags open?

Sometimes If it get a 5 pack of open smokes i will keep them in the bag and store them, but for the most part i tend not to

This may sound strange to you but I always take my cigars out of the wrappers before storage. I learned this from Bigfoot another CL member and a rep for CAO. It helps with the aging process and helps the ammonia's evaporate from the cigars. I usually age my cigars at least 30 days before I smoke them and rotate my stock from top to bottom every 60 days.

while i understand your point smoking, i dont think 30 days really counts as 'aging' in the term bigfoot was implying.

aging is generally considered as no less than 1 year, and then it DOES make a large difference in having the cello off/on during that time. 30 days wont affect it much unless your keeping very strong cigars right next to very mild cigars, they stronger ones could rub off flavors on the lighter ones in theory.

that said. i keep mine wiht the cellos off, i just prefer the look that way.

and no, i dont keep any of my cigars in the plastic in humi's

Rotating your smokes is a great idea, I rotate every 2 months or so
