So far it's lookin like my previous salt-calibration was "off" by a few points. I foresee more of these calibration kits in my future.

If anyone is still interested in calibrating their hygro's with this it kit jump on asap as it is only good for a limited time...it does expire!

Monday's a holiday, at least for the P.O.

Looks like it'll go out to Mike on Tuesday. I'm done with it now though.

Doesn't really change that hygros- both digital and analogue need to be calibrated.

I agree with you David,,,if you have an analog you might as well toss it and get either a digital or get some beads and relax. I spent wayyyyyy too much time worrying about RH and finally did what others told me to do. I got my 65% beads and stopped the madness of checking, rechecking and worrying. By the time you invest in packaging and going to the PO and sending off the kids you might as well get some beads and end it,,,just my two cents.

Some us have the beads but want the comfort of having an accurate visual indicator of our humidity levels. Nuf said.

I understand fully as I have digital hygrometers in my humis. You will need them so you can refresh the beads with distilled water. My post was to let those who don't have beads to get them so they can spend less time worrying about RH.

Not to mention it's been a regular thing during this winter seeing people regularly posting about the problems they are having maintaining proper RH with beads, even when having well above the recommended amount. It's just always good to know what the real deal is in there after changes in weather and all, and not simply go by what a package says you're going to get out of a product.

My two "little havana" hygros were near spot-on. My round, adjustable one that I has previously tried to calibrate with salt was about 4 point too high. All's well now! Thanks!
